|If you've ever been to Grove Cemetery in Trumansburg, you have probably seen the large cannon that sits there. The late Andrew Scott donated information about this cannon, with a photo, before his death. We're proud to put it up on the site now. You can find a link on the Grove Cemetery page.|

|Oct. 3, 2002||Congratulations to our Featured Star of the Month, Dennis Whittaker! Over the summer Dennis has been re-setting and repairing headstones in Yates Cemetery in Slaterville Springs. To date Dennis has put in over 120 hours of volunteer labor in this project. His hard work will preserve much of the history of the people who are buried here. (Click the Yates Cemetery link to see the fully-updated records of this cemetery, a burial map, and photos of the cemetery work in progress. They are off-site now, but will be moved soon to the Tompkins County site.)|

|January 10, 2002||The Newfield Village Cemetery has been completely revised. Cathy Knauff spent all her free time the last two summers walking this cemetery and recording the data. Janet Nash transcribed this very large record. This was a huge project and we're happy to be able to put it up on the site. Thanks to Cathy and Janet!|
