ENGLISH FAMILY CEMETERY

Located on Genung Road, Town of Dryden, NY
Far back in the woods, behind Knoll Tree Road

Hezekiah ENGLISH  Born: August 2, 1776  Died: February 3, 1850. 

 (This is the only headstone left in this cemetery.) 



Hezekiah English came to New York State in 1794 from New Jersey. Hezekiah English was the son 

of William and Polly (      ) English.

 Married 1st: Mary PRYOR



                 Children: Elisha English

                           Hannah English



 Married : For his second wife:

  Polly (Mary) CORNELIUS Born: May 11, 1792 in Orange Co. NY  Died: ? She is probably buried 

here in an unmarked grave. She was the daughter of: John and Abagail (Osborn) Cornelius.



                  Children of Hezekiah and Polly were:

  Nancy, Charlotte, Jesse, Maria, Cathrine, Elizabeth, William, Hezekiah, John C., Elihu, 

  Philander, Joseph, Lewis, Sarahann

 Family records states that Hezekiah's son William was buried here also.



 At one time there were several headstones in this Cemetery , Unknown and may be lost forever 

the records of who they were.
